Not everyone loves the name that they were born with. And for many celebrities, changing their name has been somewhat of a fad. Some name changes are understandable, like Jennifer Aniston, whose last name used to be Anastasakis. Her godfather Telly Savalas, an actor, suggested to her parents that they change their last name to Aniston. Guess it was more catchy in headlines.

But then there are other celebrities who go out their way to change their names to something outrageous, like football player Chad Ochocinco, born as Chad Johnson. Ochocinco means eight-five in Spanish (also his jersey number). He was supposed to change his last name again, this time to Hachi Go, which is eight-five in Japanese.

Golden Globes 2012: Minimal to Much

Last night’s event was, how shall I put this…eclectic? The color of the gowns ran in oppositions, from ethereal whites and ivories to deep jewel tones. The bright, true red on Dianna Agron and Stacy Kiebler were accessorized succinctly. Agron wore a mix of period pieces — nineteenth century earrings and ring and bracelets from the 1920s — from Fred Leighton. Kiebler chose Chopard diamonds. All of it worked but didn’t make statement — the dress was the main focus for both women and they looked quite lovely. The surprise of the evening, at least for me, was Angelina Jolie. She doesn’t necessarily follow trends, and why not? Mavericks are known to buck them. At one point I read on Twitte

Well its been a very busy festive season for my handmade jewellery shops!

But there are still a few days to go, so here are some delivery details for those last minute purchases.

If you are in Australia then you still have a few more days for pre-Christmas deliveries.

However, I strongly suggest you use the Express Post delivery option when you checkout from here on in.

My suggested cut off for Christmas deliveries by Express Post in Australia is midday on either 21 or 22 December, depending on where you are.

22 December should be okay if your delivery address is within the guaranteed next business day delivery network from postcode 5241 learn more.

Lewis Jewelers celebrates 30th anniversary

Webster, TX-based Lewis Jewelers turned back the hands of time as they took guests back to 1981 in celebration of 30 years in business. Sequins, ruffles, shoulder pads and big hair were en vogue for Dynasty Diamonds, Lewis Jewelers’ 30th Anniversary Celebration.
