Every jewel tells a story. CIRCA recently sat with Editor of Avenue Magazine, Peter Davis, to find out his favorite piece of jewelry:
I am not a big jewelry wearer although I do buy a lot – especially for a guy. My favorite new company is called Cast of Vices, which crafts subversive pieces like flies with semi-precious stones and gold Xanax pendants. My most coveted piece of jewelry is a gold ring from Tiffany. My great grandfather founded the Davis Cup of tennis and the ring is part signet ring/part sportsman ring. I have almost lost it twice (it’s too big for my pinky) – one time it fell off in a plane and landed in another passenger’s tote bag. A few days later the passenger tracked me down and returned the ring. He even refused my cash reward. Another time, the ring slipped off my finger and bounced on the street on Park Avenue, just barely being missed getting run over and flattened by a few cars. It ended up skipping its way to the grassy median. It’s officially my good luck charm.
